Description: This lithographic print was made from an original creative reproduction of the Pablo Picasso masterpiece, “War and Peace” Currently residing in a private collection. Reference: 1946. Original ink sketch. 35 x 43 inches (90 x 110 cm.) Eventually, turned into a serigraph. His first peace themed drawing “Dove of Peace” was created for the 1949 Paris Peace Conference. This image preceded that. This simple drawing was most probably based on Picasso’s current mistress at the time, Françoise Gilot. That subject was in keeping with the other female studies for that period. Lithograph is printed on 13 x 16.25 inch paper and image size is 11 x 13.75.
