Broadside poem; single sheet (14 x 9 inches), printed on brown paper within triple ornamental border, illustrated (lower left corner reproduces a photograph of the titular outhouse). A poem in six eight-line stanzas, beginning: “When memory keeps me company and moves to smiles or tears, A weather-beaten object looms through the mist of years…”. At end: "From the old 'Back House' on display with other relics of early days near the Country Store of Wiggins Old Tavern at Hotel Northampton, Northampton, Mass."
