Description: "Our Dance?" is an original and rare vintage Billy DeVorss pin-up on a 1942 calendar. It features advertising for Goodyear Tires, "The Lloyd Company" of Everett, WA., and advertising for Goodyear's "Lifeguards" under the pin-up print. Billy DeVorss (1908-1985) was an informally trained American painter of pin-up girls. He is known for his use of daring blends of colors, flowing, graceful lines, and his large Art Deco-inspired signature. "Our Dance?" is 14" x 14.5" in overall size and 8" x 12.5" in image size. It is in very good condition. There is a 1-inch tear in the lower left corner of the calendar, the ribbon that would have been at the top is missing, and there are various small nicks on the calendar. Please use the included photos as a condition guide. The pin-up print is in excellent condition and the 1942 date-pad is complete. Chuck Olson CollectionChuck Olson spent over 40 years collecting and traveling the United States in search of unique vintage prints. He was especially interested in prints that were printed for use on calendars in the "Age of the Calendar" from 1900-1960. Chuck amassed a collection of well over 10,000 framed and unframed prints before his death. Please feel free to contact me with any questions about the item.
