Orville was named after the founder of Gibson's Japanese brand in the 1980s. The brand disappeared towards the end of the 1990s, but this instrument, which is made of luxurious high-quality mahogany, is becoming more and more valuable in the used market every year. This is a '61 reissue model with a small pickguard, which is a standard for SGs, from the time when it was manufactured by Terada Musical Instruments. There are two types of Orvilles, domestically produced and Korean produced, but it is generally thought that the serial number stamp on the back of the head is domestically produced, and the sticker (serial number starting with K) is Korean produced. This individual has a stamped serial number, so it can be determined that it was made in Japan in 1996. The body is made of mahogany, the neck is made of mahogany and the fingerboard is made of rosewood. It has a set neck structure with a 22-thread and a scale of approximately 630 mm.
