Description: This crossover has two distinctive features-It is made in Spain by Spanish builders and it is hand made, not from a factory builder. These two factors are what Ortega calls the "traditional series" and apparently it has become too much for the company because they are discontinuing the line (I assume it is costs that drove them to this decision). So if you want one this is it. I have had several crossover guitars and this is the only one that retains a Spanish sound. Having said that it is still a crossover and a very good one. The balance is good. The detail is strong in the treble while retaining a good traditional sounding bass. The tone woods are beautify to see and hear. The 615mm scale and 48mm nut when combined with a more modern shaped neck make this guitar open to classical, jazz and contemporary music. Plus you don't have to struggle with neck size and shape if you need something for speed and smaller hands. The guitar has no marks, breaks or bumps. The finish is as it was when new. I did put a ebony armrest on and changed the strings to D'addario high tension. Other than this, the guitar is all original.
