ORIGINAL/AUTHENTIC US Navy's VB-11/VA- 'HISTORICAL" Squadron Patch (Felt/Repro)

Description: This is the (reproduction) patch ON FELT from the US Navy's VB-11/VA-114 squadron. VA-114 was an Attack Squadron of the U.S. Navy. It was established as Bombing Squadron VB-11 on 10 October 1942, redesignated VA-11A on 15 November 1946, and finally as VA-114 on 15 July 1948. The squadron was disestablished on 1 December 1949. The squadron was known as the Pegasus. This patch has "a thin plastic over tight cheesecloth" backing, a "cut black" border, has a "FELT" background, NO velcro, and the dimensions are shown in the photos...the ruler on the right is 6". This is from a retired US NAVY CAPTAIN's collection I just acquired, and hope to find it a good home. This is an ORIGINAL ONE-OF only, so grab it while you can and is an AUTHENTIC patch obtained by the officer during one of his many tours/deployments.
