Description: Antique notebook holder, made by the German company WMF. Beautifully initialed "WK." Circa WWI. It has a central oval wreath on the cover surrounded by hammered brass panels with beaded edges. The cover has turned-up bottom edges on either side to make opening the cover easier. The cover flips up, and a notepad would have been inserted between the top edges. The back panel has four small feet indentations and is of hammered brass. The reverse bears the WMF mark. Measures approximately 10.5 cm (4 1/4 inches) wide and 17.5 cm (6 7/8 inches) high. Shows wear, light scratching, and oxidation on the bottom of the floor plate. FREE SHIPPING TO US AND CANADA.
