Description: Original WW1 M1916 German helmet stahlhelm size 66 w/liner & lozenge pattern camouflage paintjob.Possibly Austrian or postwar manufacture, as heavier than average gauge steel. Stamped ‘Si 66’ but very faint and I was unable photograph properly. With an original Austrian liner band (see the size 66 in the photo) which may indicate the helmet is indeed Austrian manufacture. The leather pouches may be reproduction as they are in very good condition.Reproduction chinstrap and camouflage painting. Some of the paint was scraped off in re-enactments andby being used with an armored brow plate. (see photos) Very good condition, kept in smoke free pet free home.
