Description: Vintage Picture mounted ready to frame Edmund Dulac c1908 The Tempest Book Plate, at nearly 100 year old this print is in good vintage condition. However all vintage and antique paper items can be expected to show signs of age, to various degees Edmund Dulac was born in 1882, 15 years after Rackham and a decade or more after Heath Robinson Only Kay Nielson (1886) of the five major "Golden Age" gift book illustrators was younger He was born in Toulouse, France. His artistic bent manifested itself early and drawings exist from his early teens. Many of these early efforts are watercolors, a medium he would favor through most of his life. He studied law at the University of Toulouse for two years while attending classes at the Ecole des Beaux Arts Presented in a off white single mount ready to frame Mounted 22.5 x 30 cms ready to frame Image Size 17.5 x 13.5 cms (white marks are on the cellophane bag protecting print)This is an original vintage period piece taken from a no longer usable publication, dated as shown, and matted ready to frame.
