Description: "Chief Does Everything" Original hand scrimshaw of Chief Does Everything" by me Sherry Sellers back in 2005. This was a study on micro-scrimshaw that started in Feb. 2003 and finished in Oct. 2005 (68.5 hours). The micarta is much warmer in color than pictured. Chief Does Everything was from the Apsaroke tribe. Born in 1861 to the Mountain Crow. When he was 18 years old, he captured a gun, struck second "dakshe" and killed two Piegans in one fight, thus receiving his name. Later, he took two horses from an enemy's camp. Scrimshaw is one of the oldest forms of art where you scratch or poke tiny holes with a very sharp tool into a surface and cover the area with ink or paint. This piece measures approx. 4" x 2 1/2" x 3/8". I will include a black or brown wooden easel. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. 242802
