Original Hand Painted Serigraph, Signed. "Old Home Place," Colorful & Detailed.

Description: Beautiful art titled, "Old Home Place." Note: the COA is on the back of the frame (please see photos). It is identified as a hand painted serigraph. Serigraphs are very similar to silk screened art pieces. With that, every painting is an original as every color change is done by hand, layer, upon layer, until the composition has been completed. This particular serigraph has been very clearly highlighted by the artist. One can feel and see the highlights throughout the painting. Serigraphs long proceed any form of art electronic reproduction known today. This painting reminds me of my very childhood experiences in southern Wisconsin. My grandfather had some 500 acres that he farmed until his 90's. My uncle was a very successful farmer who owned many farms and had at least 1000, acres (probably much more). The artist has captured the essence of rural farm life in the winter. My memories from childhood very much are in align with the artist's work here. It looks like a first snow as the tree branches still have a few leaves on them. The snow is not deep. Look at the detail in the windmill and the water trough. That's exactly how my Uncle's farm was. The broken down machinery in the front yard is pretty classic with many farms, but it was not so with the farms in Wisconsin. They tended to be very tidy and orderly. The old house in this painting looks like it could have been a church at one time. The mansard roof liiks like part of a church bell tower. My uncle's farmhouse was comprised of two huge homes that had been moved and put together as one. It was a great home to play hide and seek with my cousins. But that was well more than 55 years ago. My own musings about my childhood has nothing to do with this listing. That said, about anyone who is reading this listing likely has a memory of their own. That memory is most likely a memory from childhood. Perhaps you can relate if you have read this far. It's a wonderful piece of art that is in excellent condition. The artist has signed the painting in the lower right hand corner. It is a thin ink pen signature, and it's difficult to see in the photos, but it is there.
