Approximately 7 13/16" acrossApproximately 7/8" deep with the eagle Wooden construction with the center plate painted silver and gold. Nicely made, well-finished, and detailed piece. There is a hanger on the back and part of the original maker's tag. The plaque represents the parachutist badge. The Parachutist Badge (Fallschirmschützenabzeichen) was the badge awarded to and worn by qualified German parachutists in World War II.Fallschirmjägers, or those in the elite German paratrooper corps, were some of the finest fighting units of World War II.
