Description: For your consideration is this original 1864 Abraham Lincoln engraving. It comes in it's original faux burled gold gilt trimmed wood frame that measures 21x16" overall. The inside measurement and what would appear to be the size of the print, is 18 1/2 x 13 1/2" but I have not taken it out of the frame. In fact it would appear no one has ever taken it out of the frame. It appears undisturbed since 1864. This one is done by publisher J.C. Buttre in 1864 from the Mathew Brady photograph and features the Momberger border of images. This is all outlined in the title information on the engraving. In addition to it's gold gilt trim, which shows wear and soiling, the frame features a faux burling over wood. The original wood back has greatly contributed to overall staining and foxing of the print itself. It looks solid but i have not removed it from the frame. This is an attic find that I wiped the black dust off of. Most of it, that is. there is also some soiling behind the glass. All this being said, the entire thing still presents itself pretty well. Please study the photos and ask any questions you may have. Quoted shipping is to the lower 48 states and includes insurance. Thanks.
