Original First Edition Harry Potter Bloomsbury UK Book Set 1st Prints & States

Description: First edition UK Harry Potter book set. New and unread condition. This original Bloomsbury set starts with a third print Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, its first publishing to include a dust jacket. The rest of the seven hardback book set are first prints, each also verified to be the first state printed, as the photos of copyright pages and certain page misprints will confirm. Each of these books has been sealed in a protective sleeve, and the set has been sealed in a plastic storage bin, all stored in low light and climate controlled conditions for all of the time since their purchase. For almost 10 years of that time, they have been completely undisturbed within a very cool, dark and clean storage unit. There are several promotional materials that came with the original purchase of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. They will be included. Being a museum curator, I couldn't help but make an interpretive label or descriptive placard for the book set, which will be included. Backed on high quality foamboard, it has a watermark background with "Harry Potter" in the same official text style as the movie titles. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Here, I will do my best to describe the individual book conditions and any minor flaws, keeping in mind that all but perhaps the first book could be considered to be in new and unread condition. Also, all but the last two books have a plastic protective covering over the dust jacket. They are removable, along with a stamped paper layer that some of them have. The copy of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone has a name written small in pen inside the top corner of front cover. While the dust jacket is on, the name is completely covered and will never be noticed. Being the oldest of the book set, it does appear there is some slight browning to the page edges. Most of the cover corners also have slight indentation or wear. The copy of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets appears to have no imperfections. The copy of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban only has a slight indent to the top front corner. The copy of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire has an indent to the spine bottom and top front corner and spine. The copy of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix has a slight indent to the bottom front corner and spine. The copy of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince has indents to the top front and back corners, and the bottom front corner through spine. The copy of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows has an approximate 1-inch indent on the back, an indent to the top back corner, and slight indents to the top spine and top back outer corner.
