Description: Original comic art (and its accompanying comic book) by famed underground comic artist Dan O'Neill. O'Neill's work began in the 1960's where he did a strip called Odds Bodkins for the San Francisco Chronicle. But he's perhaps more famous for his own underground comic book, Air Pirates Funnies which spoofed Disney characters and resulted in a famous lawsuit by the Disney Company. Here's a great example of the kind of thing that got him in trouble with Disney. This is the orignal cover art for Dan O'Neill's Comics and Stories #3, which was published in 1972. It's signed by the artist. You also get the the actual book and a Certificate of Authenticity signed and dated by the artist in October of 2011. The cover art is pencil on paper and measures 9 X 13 inches. It's in EXCELLENT condition. The comic book is in VERY FINE condition. Check our other listings for more Dan O'Neill original art. FREE U.
