Description: This beautiful 3 dimensional multi media artwork features a school of fish swimming in the deep blue sea. The media is textured paint on wood. The base board is textured deep cobalt blue with waves that have been created with textured layers of paint. I don't know the exact age of this piece, but estimate it is less than 10 years old - the colors are bright, style is contemporary, and the wood grain on the back is relatively fresh. It is signed "Sallie (Seymour?)" on the back - I can't make out the artist's last name. This ocean scene is beautifully executed in bright primary colors - red, blue, white, green, orange and yellow. There are brigthly colored fish that have been handmade and hand painted and attached to the "ocean" board with wooden pegs so they appear to be swimming. This piece is perfect for a bath area, pool room, rec room or as a complement to an aquarium - just about any space that needs a whimsical pop of beautiful color. It measures 8 inches in height and is about 8.5 inches wide at an edge with a fish tail exceeding the border. Without the fish tails, it's 8 inches square - compact and will fit in many spaces. The picture is in excellent condition, with no visible surface stains, chips, cracks or scratches. The hanging bracket is secure and sturdy. Please see photos for more detail.
