Description: Original August Lancon Etching Enlevement Des Glaces Au Bois Des Boulonge 1881 From a recent local estate sale, one beautiful vintage original etching of workers cutting and loading blocks of ice on to horse drawn carts with a group of women watching at right by well known and collected artist Adolphe Appian ( 1818-1898). The Bois Des Boulogne is a large park in Paris. Plenty of info on the artist aviailable on the internet. The etching is on laid paper, signed lower left A. Lancon pinx. et sc, and titled Enlevement Des Glaces Au Bois De Boulogne within plate mark. Plate mark image measures 9” x 12.75”. Interesting scene that will look great in a simple inexpensive black frame. I’ve listed a few other very nice etchings if interested. Buyer to pay USPS shipping. Thanks for taking a look. _gsrx_vers_1436 (GS 9.0.5 (1436))
