Description: A hard to find Phil Gagliano game used St. Louis Cardinals Rawlings Baseball jersey, set 1 from 1968, this is the World Series year so that is kind of cool. This jersey and others I have came to me locally, I do not live far from many of the new and old Spring Training stadiums in Florida. The Cardinals used to have Spring Training at the old Al Lang field in St. Petersburg Florida. When I purchased the jersey I was told that the Cardinals and the Mets used to send there jerseys down to the minors and reissue issue them to the Minor League players or the Winter Leagues. The gentleman who sold the jersey to me, said his son played in the Winter Leagues right out of High School and obtained some of the jerseys. This jersey was reissued, that is why the name has been removed off of the back, you can see Gagliano still on the back and the jersey has different numbers, Gagliano's number was #16. I have one jersey that is at an auction house from the collection and it is 100% real. I guarantee this is an original MLB jersey. The item is missing one button and is faded and yellowed some. The name on the back has been removed as well as the original numbers, they have been replaced with other numbers. Two of the numbers are chipping a little. There is a few holes holes on the back where the name used to be. The Cardinals logo has faded some. Great looking item. The item will be shipped fully insured.
