Description: Original 1957 USAF Squadron Officer School guidon, pennant, or flag. Purple flag, with “42” in yellow and the old style Squadron Officer School shield with crest at the top (no longer used by SOS). Measures approximately 14 ½ x 23 ½”. From the estate of a USAF Pilot who attended SOS at Maxwell Air Force Base in Montgomry, Alabama in 1957, and flew B-57 combat missions with the 7th Air Force, 405th Fighter Wing, 8th & 13th Bomb Squadrons out of Phan Rang, Vietnam in 1967-1968. His missions were low altitude night bombing missions. We will provide biographical information on this pilot with this guidon. Very good, see photos for details. NO LOCAL PICKUPS.
