For your review and consideration is a full set of WWII AAF heavy bomber clothing. Jacket is a B3, size 40. Pants are A5, size 38RBoots are Type A6A, Size XXL 10.5- 11.5.Hat is marked size 7. The jacket has seen obvious wear and has period repairs - but it's over 80 years old. I suspect that it was worn after the war for several years, basically as a warm winter jacket because the pants and boots are in better shape. One cuff has come loose and the area near the top of the zipper is well worn and has an L shaped tear but you can't see it when it's zipped up. There is also a repaired tear in the leather on one side that the previous owners family glued back together. It's still a great jacket and could use some conditioner to soften it up a bit. The zipper works but is delicate - a little cleaning up and oiling and I'm sure it'd be easier to use. The previous owner also removed the two leather straps from the collar, but the two waist straps are still present. The pants are in great shape. No tears or rips, but the zippers all need a little love. They are complete, and cleaning off the verdigris on the teeth would do wonders. Suspenders are all there and in great condition - not cut out, etc. The boots are very large for their time. Size XXL, however, that's only 10.5 to 11.5. Guess men back then had smaller feet.... Anyway, they're in decent shape too, one having a small tear which doesn't distract. The rubber soles look great - like they were hardly worn. The hat is a mystery - the reason I say this is because there a map and other paperwork (as well as a plastic rain cover) stuffed up in the crown. Looking at the writing, there are lots of Japanese names, units, etc, in English which would put it post war or maybe even Korean War era? Either way, it came with the set so it'll stay with it. The brim of the hat is soft and supple and very flexible. The wool has a few moth nips and tracking but nothing that is distracting. Shirt and tie not included.
