Description: For offer, an original and genuine 18th century printed map of the County of Warwickshire. Dating to c.1472 and drawn by 'Thomas Badeslade', with the copper printing plate that would have been used for the printing being engraved by 'William Toms'. This would originally have been within a 'book-fold' atlas, hence the central creaseline, and has been later hand coloured. The map itself also gives additional details of the County, including market and fairs days and dates. It comes complete with gilded wood frame and is glazed, so is ready to hang and display. The condition of the actual map is very good to excellent, and is free from any tears or rips, the frame does have a knock to the upper section as shown in the photographs above.
