The map locates hundreds of towns, with place names from classical antiquity. Topographical features are noted, with relief shown by hachure. It was engraved by William Hughes and published by Adam & Charles Black as Plate LIX in Black's General Atlas of the World, Edinburgh, 1851. There are two insets. Condition: This handsome map is in very good condition, with a vertical center fold, as issued, and no rips or tears. It is blank on the back, with no printing on the reverse side, and the paper has a slight overall waviness. Please see the scans and feel free to ask any questions.
