Description: I am offering for sale an original 1745 Royal Decree signed by French King Louis XV and countersigned by Jerome Phelypeaux, Comte de Pontchartrain and Secretary of Marine and Royal Household. The reverse of the document contains the name Baron de Rouairoux. Also included is a paper insert from the early 20th Century Philadelphia book seller and dealer, Stan Henkels, Jr., who sold the document. It is in excellent condition with age appropriate wear and patina. There are no tears or repairs. It would look great framed. It measures 10 1/2" x 7 3/4".
