Description: I purchased a large lot of Richard Morin's art from someone who had purchased it from an estate sale. I am happy to have an opportunity to help rescue this art. Beyond what is written here, please depend on the photos as an important part of the description. Each piece is sold as you see it in the photos. Most was done in the 1950s and 1960s but I suspect much of the Southwestern genre were done in the 1970s. Measurements are approximate because in some cases the paper is irregular and the edges will be covered by matting and framing. In most cases I included a photo with an old mat board to give an idea how it will look matted. The mat board is not included. (Much of this was matted but I have removed it because the matting was soiled. There might be tape remnants on the back where the art was attached to a mat.) Most is done on medium to heavy art paper. In some cases, where the paper stock allows, the art will be shipped gently rolled in craft paper in a long box. Items on heavier, less flexible stock will be shipped flat. Some are signed, some not, but it was all purchased at the same time from the same estate so I am comfortable attributing the unsigned works to Morin. If the art is signed there will be a close up of the signature - if there is no close up, it isn't signed. In some cases there is art front and back. Sometimes it is obvious which was intended to be the "main work", in other cases either side could be matted and framed. See a brief bio at the end of this listing. SORRY - I KNOW THESE BIG BOXES ARE EXPENSIVE TO SHIP, ESPECIALLY WEST OF THE MISSISSIPPI! Size: 29.5" x 22.5". Shipped flat in a large box.Notes: Both sides signed and either could be matted and framed. I prefer the mountain side but is does have a line at the top that may or may not be original (see close up). There is also some tape on the edges on this side because it had been matted the other way. I ship only in the U.S. Buyer to pay actual Economy shipping. I ship within 1 day of payment barring any crazy weather. When possible I am happy to combine items to save on shipping. PLEASE pay or contact me within 2 days of purchase. If not, I do file Non Paying Bidder reports with eBay. That is the only way I can get my commission back if I am not paid.
