I have a female Betta that will pick off a shrimp from time to time. Orange Sunkist Shrimp, when introducing them to their new home, tend to do better in a tank thah has been well established with well aged (or seasoned) water. Orange Sunkist Shrimp can handle a wide range or parameters, including: pH of 7.0 to 7.6, GH of 7 - 15, KH of 2 - 8, TDS of 200 to 250, and a temperature range of 70F to 78F. Orange Sunkist Shrimp are great in outdoor ponds as well, and may even winter-over or summer-over depending your specific climate. I'll feed them zucchini, Repashy Soylent Green, algae wafers, banana leaves, most other leaves are safe as long as they are well dried out and clean. And they are just a load of fun to watch!
