This is A grade opal that is hand selected to ensure that every piece has flash. We do not import any second grade opal without flash due to new export laws in Ethiopia that make it cost prohibitive to export anything of lower quality. We only buy opal with play of color. This stock photo listing is our most popular because it is cost effective. It consists of 5 or 25 grams of small sized stones. This size is generally too small to cut or to put into jewelry as a raw piece, although some customers do make small jewelry with this listing. We buy this in huge quantity and we keep low margins on it to ensure that anyone who is interested in flashy opal has an entry point that they can afford. We will select the opals you will receive.
