Bonnefond” mark can be found on a variety of figural lamps and vases from this era, but information about the designer is hard to come by. A French sculptor born in 1858 is speculated to be the sculptor. His work included hallmarks of the Art Nouveau style, with the nude female figure lying among vine-like stylized botanic forms. A prior owner removed these completely to restore item into a functional lamp. There are some inconsistencies in the bronze finish that came with the alterations. One of the extensions was used for the lamp's unique finial that rests atop the lamp. Please thoroughly review pics in listings. This is a late 19th century, pre-owned item that is sold as is. There are visible signs of age and some scratches from improper cleaning and care from the past. If you want the lampshade shipped as well, message me and specify. Else it will not be included.
