Description: This is a possible last known example of a BOB-LO Island Amusement Park which closed in 1993 and the rides sold the following year. BOB-LO Island was a mucho fun place for kids and adults for 95 years. As a kid we went with our scout troops and as a young adult it brought back memories that I had hoped to treat my own kids to. Unfortunately my baby was born in 1993, so no go. This park opened in 1898 and closed in 1993. That’s a long time for a park to be open and on an island at that. It was , probably still is although shut down and abandoned, located at the mouth of the Detroit River on Bois Blanc Island, Ontario. This place holds many memories for myself and many others in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana and Canada. The boat ride to the island felt like forever, but we were kids, everything took forever. This is the perfect addition to someone’s existing magnet collection. I know a few that still collect them and being they live near me they already have one of BOB-LO except a different color. This is in real nice condition for a magnet even if it were the last year running in 1993. That’s a 31 year old magnet at the very least.
