Description: This item consists of ONE antique MINTON DINNER PLATE, 10 1/8" in diameter, in the striking "Japonica" pattern (B893). The enamelling of the bird and floral design is representative of the aesthetic movement and renewed interest in the far east at the turn of the century. The plate is in very good condition, with no chips, cracks or repairs, and with some light utensil marks that can be seen when holding the plate to the light. The colors, turquoise blues and hot pinks, are crisp, and the blue border is slightly scalloped. The older Minton marks appear on the back of the plate.
