“Once Upon a Time” Large Oil Painting on Canvas by Carolyn Blish

Description: This is an original oil painting on canvas by Carolyn Blish. The little girl in the white dress in a white wicker chair with her quilt, teddy bear, and Raggedy Ann doll brings to mind a nostalgic time. The color palette is soft and very light. It is signed in the lower right corner and dated 2010. The canvas is approximately 24” x 30” in a 26 ½” x 32 ½” white frame. The painting and frame are both in very good condition. Carolyn Blish (1928 - ) is a former model, actress, and television newscaster who began painting in the early 1950s. Her mother recognized early on that her daughter had artistic gifts. Blish first began exhibiting her art nationally in 1965. A member of the American Watercolor Society, watercolor is her preferred medium because of its spontaneous quality. Blish became a member of the American Watercolor Society, the American Artists’ Professional League and the Allied Artists of America, while winning awards from The National Arts Club and enjoying sold-out exhibitions and shows.
