Description: Here we have a a quite lovely example of a now very rare 1939 approx tear drop omega with second dial. The movement is 30T1 dated at approx 1939 by serial number. The watch is in original condition apart from strap which is to be expected at 85 years old. Watch keeps good time. My grandfather brought this watch back from France after second world war he believed it was issued to a German officer and as the story goes he removed it from a German outpost around 20 miles from Paris 7 weeks after landing in Normandy. Selling as I never get the chance to enjoy it as I'm always wearing another watch my grandfather passed on to me. It's a shame for it or sit in a cupboard. Watch is in great condition for age with a few marks here and there it has great character. A nice little piece of history from a fine watch brand that has survived the test of time.
