Description: This vintage tobacco pipe from Italy is a true collector's item. It is in very good condition other than a *chip out of the stem and it is tight where the stem meets the bowl, it is difficult to get on; I was not able to make them meet (this could possibly be fixed with cleaning and oiling) - a little gap between the stem and stummel was left when I put it back on.* A rubber but protector would fix the problem with the stem. I read somewhere that Linkman’s made the Olde London pipes up to 1949, but I have no knowledge other than that. I found this pipe at an estate sale along with other vintage pipes, but I’m not sure exactly when this was made. I have not cleaned it as I did not want to do it wrong and wanted to leave it up to your preference of cleaning methods. Please see photos for more details. Thank you.
