Description: This offering is for a circa 1940's woman's pink crinkle gauze dress. There are no tags present, however the dress is about a size small and the current measurements are as given below taken with the garment laying flat. The design eliminates the shoulder seam and even has the bottom of the sleeve starting at the waist and extending in a long slow curve to the end of the sleeve. The silver metallic rickrack V on the chest is quite possibly a form of the V for Victory symbol that was worked into so many items during the 40's. The dress also features a great large skirting with elastic waist. Unstretched the waist measures 9" side to side but easily stretches out to 13" side to side. Unfortunately there are some grayish colored stains in the shoulder and collar area. There is also some fading on the shoulders from hanging on a hanger for years. None of it is obnoxious but it's definitely visible when you look for it. There are no rips tears or repairs.
