Description: This is a must for collectors from North Carolina especially the Winston-Salem area. This is a beautifully hand painted basket ( from Basketville in Putney, VT which has been out of business for many,many years: see stamp on bottom) depicting scenes from Old Salem, a Moravian enclave museum in North Carolina. It is signed by Doris Munt and I found her name on a North Carolina registry from 1975. I believe this is a sewing basket but it may serve another purpose. Whatever the case it is stunningly rendered and painted. I've been down there and it is spot on! It measures 10" x 6.5" x 6" without the handle
