This 46 page hard cover book measures approximately 6.25 by 8.75 inches in size, and has beige cloth covers with the spine stamped in black. There are blank end-papers. The book is a collection of whimsical light poems about feline psychology and sociology, and served as the basis for Andrew Lloyd Webber's 1981 musical "Cats". It is a First American Edition, published by Harcourt, Brace and Company, in 1939. The hard cover book is in great vintage condition, with no missing or torn pages, no writing on any of the pages (with the exception of a price, in pencil, at the top of the front free end-paper), and minimal soiling and wear (primarily to the covers).
