Description: Description: Old Pawn Native American Navajo Sterling Silver Watch Tip : the single Sterling Silver decorative watch panel contains two Turquoise gemstones and one Red Coral gemstone, simple bezel set, border of forty nine silver raised dots, twelve stamped sun rays each above an indented moat dot, and was handmade by an unknown Navajo artisan. Includes an original Turpen’s Vault Inc. Pawn Tag, Grand Opening was in August 1967 at the S. 2nd Street Gallup location. Pawn small loan transactions between trader and Navajo owner were made based on familiarity and as such some tags did not include name or date only description, traders ledger coding, and amount loaned. A remarkable Estate Sale discovery from a private collection ranging in years from 1940's to 1970’s pieces from the New Mexico area, in overall excellent condition, the patina is intact, gemstones are firmly secured in bezels, and most likely crafted early to mid-century. “Due to the nature of estate sales, original packaging and/or jewelry gift box is not included - posting is for the single Watch tip and Turpen’s Vault Tag only”.
