The top cap is always in better condition because it was not spinning around on the top of the brace for decades. They have an interior diameter of 1" and center hole measures approx. just over 1"D. which will fit almost any and all kinds of rods. Overall condition very good.There is typical and expected wear as shown from 120+ years of rooftop service as shown. Nothing detracting, still solid, and ready to use.
