Description: ARTIST: Børge Nyrop is a well-listed Danish artist, whose works have been offered at auctions multiple times and who was an exhibitor at the famous Charlottenborg. He studied at the Vermehren school and student of L. Simon in Paris. He went on study trips to France, Italy, Germany, Holland and Belgium. His favorite scenes are landscapes and figures. Today some of his works are on display in Danish art museums. PAINTING: Oil on board. The painting is a simple, yet attractive, impressionistic – almost abstract rendering of a moor landscape transforming into what appears to be rolling dunes and a distant view to the ocean. This landscape is a trademark for the West coast of Denmark. I’ll date the painting to somewhere between 1920-1940. Signed: “B Nyrop” in the lower left corner. SIZE: With frame: 33 cm/13" * 26,5 cm/10.4". Without frame: 25 cm/9.8" * 18,5 cm/7.3". CONDITION: The painting is in great ready-to-hang condition - no holes, tears or missing paint. The frame has scratches and stains.
