Description: Nice collection of Oil City High School Oil Can yearbooks from Oil City, Pennsylvania. All hardcover. Originally 32 yearbooks from 1931 to 1963 except 1933. From the collection of a teacher there, many are signed H. L. Wells. The yearbooks show a wide range of cover and inside graphics styles. Some covers are classics. Shown as a sample is in the inside of the 1949 book. Some books come with extras. The books were well stored over the years and are generally in very good condition. See individual years below for details on extras and condition for each year. Everything in very good or better condition unless noted. Slight vertical bowing. Inside cover sheets pulling from pages along spine, but binding is solid. "Athletics" divider page is loose. 1932 - Extras: commencement programs for OCHS Class of 1932 and 1933. No autographs. Cover is flexible, not rigid like all others. 1934 - No autographs, but pencil scribbling inside back cover and the last page has a tear. Looks like a child might have handled it. Binding is metal comb and a few pages have some torn holes though none are loose. 1939 - No autographs. 1940 - No autographs. Wear on edges of binding. 1941 - No autographs. Wells" written inside cover. 1954 - Extras: a printed note to 1954 seniors from a faculty member. Fainlty written on front cover is "Denise". Lots of autographs. 1955 - Extras: an 8-page supplement to the yearbook and commencement program for OCHS Class of 1955. No autographs. Front cover looks like it has white ink from something else, along spine. 1956 - Horizontal format. Extras: commencement program for OCHS Class of 1956, with brown rings from somebody's drink. No autographs. Covers looks like they have some white ink from something else, along bottom, not too bad. 1957 - No autographs. "H. L. Wells" written inside cover. 1958 - No autographs. "H. L. Wells" written inside cover. 1959 - No autographs. On back cover is something slightly tacky, maybe a cover touch-up, covered now by sheet of mylar so it doesn't stick to anything. 1960 - No autographs. "H. L.
