I honestly don't know what to do with him! Or all these phones!! He has over 250 of these models!! EACH ONE ALSO COMES WITH A BASE STATION OF SOME KIND, THAT SELLS OFTEN ON EBAY FOR AS MUCH AS $15.00 JUST ON THEIR OWN!! THE PHONES ALSO COME WITH SEVERAL CABLES USED FOR CONNECTIVITY IN GENERAL, AS WELL AS TO THIS BASE!! HERE'S THE STORY!!..................This center, some State Government asset management operation, bought all these brand new in late 2018. The center sent all the personnel home at the outset of the pandemic in March of 2020..........when they re-opened, they went to remote workers, and did not re-open all those offices! These people convinced Mike to send his guys down to buy and disconnect them all and haul them back to Chicago.............the phones cost this place over $70,000 to buy new! Of course, now, Mike has thousands wrapped up in this deal!! God help me!! (and him so help me God!!!) They all have minimal usage! They were all working and Mike's guys verified that!! HOWEVER..... from the research I did, they work on a system known as PoE. THIS PoE STANDS FOR "POWER OVER ETHERNET" AS A SOURCE OF THEIR OPERATING ELECTRICAL POWER! APPARENTLY this means they are connected to an Ethernet cable, and a LAN cable as well (if used, not sure if they need this part to work). A LAN connection stands for "Local Access Network". THEY DO NOT USE A POWER SOURCE, OR A NORMAL PHONE LINE TO SUPPLY THE, (I THINK), 32 VOLT SOURCE LIKE THE 4-LINE "TWISTED PAIRS" OF A NORMAL HOUSE PHONE LINE..... I would say all this means that they work with some kind of server, or computer! I would guess they might work in your home with the Ethernet cable associated with a cable account, or out the back of a computer!! I TOLD MIKE TO TRY THIS OUT SOON!!! ANYWAY........................there are 250 phones of this model for sale here today!! They look peal nice, with limited use!!!!! SOOOOOOOOOOOOO.................................here they are!!
