OEM QuadraFire tadpole door gasket 1', 4' or 10' + extras, 842-5130

Description: 842-5130 tadpole gasket. Your choice, by the foot, 4', or 10' section of self adhesive tadpole gasket. Used on Quadra-Fire Contour, Santa Fe, Castile or Mt Vernon OE stoves and inserts. We purchase this in bulk and it will be cut from bulk roll. If you have a Contour, Sante Fe freestanding or insert, Castile freestanding or insert, they all use the same piece of glass and require the same amount of gasket. 4' ( actual 3' 4") of tadpole gasket, tape gasket and foil tape (to keep ends from fraying). If you have a MT Vernon OE (manufactured up until 2006) your stove requires 4' (actual 3'10") of tadpole gasket, tape gasket and foil tape (to keep ends from fraying). If you're asking how I come up with these measurements, because yours come out to be longer, I'll explain. When your stove is new, they do not use tadpole gasket around the whole piece of glass. They use tadpole on three sides and a piece of flat tape gasket on the remaining side (either top or bottom). Why pay for more tadpole gasket than you actually need. We'll send you almost the exact amount of tadpole gasket you need (you might have to trim an inch or two off), 20 inches of tape gasket with 4' or 4' 6" tape gasket with 10' of tadpole gasket and high temp foil tape to secure the ends from fraying.10 feet will normally do 3 Contour, Santa Fe, Castile series doors or 2 Mt Vernon OE doors. The tadpole gasket will be one continuous piece (i.e. you purchase five 1' pieces, it will be one 5' piece or if you purchase two 10' pieces, it will be one 20' piece).
