The 188 page introduction explains the term Metatron, the Angelology of 3 Enoch, the quasi-physical aspects of the Divine Letters and Names, the fate of the spirits and souls, performance of celestial songs, and the Divine Judgement. Pages 1-179 are translation and notes. Pages 1-74 are Hebrew text with critical notes, and the final 36 pages are the indexes. The first critical edition of Enoch, a landmark of scholarship, extraordinarily scarce in this first edition, with the lovely touch of the book having been owned by Mercer.
