Description: Beautiful vintage six-sided hand-painted Japanese pottery bowl, with double bamboo handles. Made in the period from 1945 to 1952 when Japan was under occupation by the Allied forces of WW II. Likely of Kyoto origin, The floral design is bright and strong. There is an even crazing throughout which is expected for its age. The fine fiber wrapping at the very ends of two of the four handles is missing. The orange, blue, yellow and green glazing is strong and bright. No chips or cracks. A wonderful collectors piece in a handy size of 8 1/2 inches in diameter and 3 inches tall excluding the handles. With the handles it stands 8 1/2 inches tall.
