Description: Here's another novel design never before seen in O Gauge, the Crandall Cab E8! This kit is an upgraded, full 1:48th scale conversion specifically designed to fit around the frame, trucks and drivetrain from a MTH Premier E8 A-unit to convert it into a unique style of CNW passenger locomotive. The Crandall Cab was named after one of the Chicago and North Western's shop supervisors who was given the peculiar task of adding modern cabs to outdated E8Bs so the CNW could keep running their passenger trains while awaiting Amtrak takeover. Each kit consists of a a 4-piece body and a new pilot to replace the curved one from the Premier E8A. The body sections are printed in high definition UV cured resin. The truck mounted pilot is printed in sturdy ABS filament. I have included some photos that show the kit fully assembled onto a Premier E8A frame for your reference.
