O Scale 2 Rail Sunset Models 3rd Rail B&O 2-8-2 Q-4B Mikado #4478, Runs Well

Description: Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE Offering this O Scale 2 Rail Sunset Models 3rd Rail Brass Baltimore & Ohio 2-8-2 Q-4B Mikado steam locomotive #4478 from 2009. I have the original box in Like New – Store New (P8-9) condition with EX foam cushioning and mounting boards for additional protection. I also have the original Master Carton/shipping box in EX condition. No literature. FEATURES: - Can motor - Directional rear light – headlight stays on in Reverse - Nice in cab detail with 2 figures - Extra parts o Alternate pilot o Extra screws o Extra springs - Factory painted NOTE: Features obtained from online sources. I obtained the loco from a Collector Estate Auction held by a very reputable train auctioneer who listed it as C9. The engine looks C9; however, the tender shows 2 questionable issues: - Just above the right front truck on the shell, there appears 3 copper (?) colored specs. I can’t tell if they are scratches or a foreign deposit. The color is not brass, also. - The left rear of the shell shows a rough looking spot and some possible dirt (?) or even possibly paint overspray (?). The word AND is not solid (see PIC close-ups). These flaws, in my opinion, do not detract from the beauty of the loco. I see no other possible flaws. Check the pictures for yourself. I tested the loco on a short test track (no curves). It ran well in F&R with some light hesitation at creeping low speed. It seemed to improve the more I ran it. Maybe lubrication will help. Headlight works fine and directional tender light works fine. Two green marker lights on the front of the engine work; but, the left light is not as bright at start-up; but, increases with higher speed. I plan to ship in the original box. If you want it shipped in another box, just let me know before paying the invoice. I will have to adjust the shipping cost to reflect the additional size & weight of the additional box. It may take some time to find or make or buy a suitable box. If you pay the eBay generated invoice, I cannot honor your request due to eBay policy.
