Menards® now adds remote control switches to its line of O gauge tubular track, further enhancing the fun!WHY O-72?72-inch diameter curves offer a more graceful and realistic appearance, and virtually all O gauge locomotives and rolling stock can navigate the curvature with no danger of derailment.The Menards® O-72 Right- and Left-Hand Switches (275-9301, 9302) are compatible with most O gauge tubular track brands, including Lionel® and K-Line®. Connect these switches to Lionel® FasTrack® by using a Tubular Track to FasTrack® Transition Piece (279- 3867, 3868). They also have a non-derailing feature that automatically resets switch alignment when a train approaches an open switch from the opposite direction.EASY OPERATIONThe switches come ready to install on your railroad, with prelit red and green lanterns-red for stop and green for go.The switch measures 14 inches long. It is 8 inches wide at the switch machine, and 5-1/2 inches wide at the diverging line. Just place it where you need it, and connect it with the adjoining track.The switch is opened or closed using a remote controller. The remote has a 3-foot connection that plugs into the switch machine. Need more line? The switch also has a 6-foot extension you can add to place the controller anywhere within 9 feet of the switch.Press a button and the switch changes from the straight run-through to the diverging line. Press it again and it resumes the straight position. You can also change switch alignment by manually turning the red/green safety lanterns.Rest easy, there is no need to add an insulator pin to the track.
