Description: For sale is a rare plate made by Nymphenburg in the early 20th century . It is the only plate I have ever seen by them that is hand painted with a scene of a dog. It must be special since it is actually signed by the artist initials HK to the left of the scene for Hans Kratzer who designed these as part of a dinner service. superb plate typical in shape for Nymphenburg with an unusual decoration. The plate is marked with the impressed shield mark as well as the under glaze green shield mark with the word Nymphenburg underneath but since the plate sagged in the center and wouldn't have sat flat the green mark area was ground down but you can still see the remnants of the green mark. Also an impressed letter P and red initials S4. or h S. not sure which one it is. The piece is in perfect condition.
