Description: NuForce MCH3 SE-C7 SPECIAL EDITIONHIGH-END 7 CHANNEL POWER AMPLIFIER NWITH FOUR CHANNELS WORKING/THREE CHANNELS NOT WORKING CIRCUITRY DESCRIPTION AND OWNER'S EXPERIENCE:This power amplifier is built using NuForce 9SE based modules - SE is the designation for Special Edition. These are extremely high quality amplifiers and the monoblock version sell for more than 1K for a channel!MCH3 SE-C7 contains 7 identical modules and two power supplies. Unfortunately three of the modules don't pass the self test and, therefore three channels (5, 6, 7) don't work - see red lights in the pictures.I purchased the amplifier from the original owner in this condition as I never intended to use it as a HT amplifier.I used this amplifier to Bi-Amp a pair of Definitive Technology BP-30. The preamplifier used was Proceed AVP and Proceed AVP2 through the XLR connections.Since channels 5, 6, 7 are not functional/not used, the power connectors have been disconnected from these three modules. The amplifier is now configured as a DUAL stereo amplifier: channel 1 and 2 are powered by ONE ASSIGNED POWER SUPPLY and channels 3, 4 are powered by the SECOND ASSIGNED POWER SUPPLY.This way there is COMPLETE SEPARATION between channels 1/2 used for bi-amping left speaker and channels 3/4 used for bi-amping right speaker.The sound was extremely powerful and detailed, not bright just detailed. The bottom end was very well controlled and no subwoofer was ever needed - that is also a characteristic of the speakers.This amplifier is very quite and the music just pups up from a complete black background.CAUTION!PLEASE READ THE INCLUDED MANUAL - I WILL INCLUDE THE PRINTED MANUAL - BEFORE USING THIS AMPLIFIER.NEVER USE THE AMPLIFIER WITH NO SPEAKERS ATTACHED. TURN OFF THE CHANNELS THAT ARE NOT USED!In conclusion, this is a fine piece of equipment aimed to the discerning audiophiles who will certainly enjoy musicality of this amplifier.
