Description: Offered is a NOS Mopar 871861 Oil Filler Cap fitting Chrysler Dodge DeSoto Chrysler 1946-1955. The 871861 cap was issued from 1946 to 1948 and is "numbers correct" for those years. In 1949 it was replaced by Mopar 1311809. The difference is this cap has a side vent hole that is round and about the diameter of a pencil. The 1949 1311809 cap had a large wide elongated vent. Both interchange. Given 871861 cap was out of production by 1949 it is at least 75 years old and showing its age. It is dent free but the paint is weathered. Use "as is" or paint for show.
