This quality door knocker was manufactured in the 1970s by the vintage Danish brass Maker Axel Hasselstrøm A/S. It is made out of solid, high quality heavy Danish-made brass. This is not the lightweight, thin, low-quality brass that comes from places like India, China, Mexico and Pakistan. See the Danish flag tag that says "Messing" Messing is Danish for brass. Door knocker has an aged brass finish with some antiquing to it. Features an elegant twisted brass bar attached to an upper floral mounting piece. Has a second separate brass floral piece that serves as the knocker plate. The heavy bar striking on the decorative floral plate makes a deep resounding knocking sound. Approximate Measurements: 7-1/8 Inches TallWidth: About 3 Inches Wide at Top Flower, which has the widest points Protrudes about 2-1/4 Inches Out (Deep) HEAVY FOR ITS SIZE, it weighs About 1 Pound 12 Ounces, UNPACKED!
